While folks are planning for Halloween with pumpkin patches and corn mazes, don’t forget about the cool kite festivals in North Carolina this fall. Kites Unlimited will host the 36th Annual Carolina Kite Festival to take place Oct. 28-29, 2023, at the Sands Villa Resort and Tom Doe Park in Atlantic Beach, with parking available at both locations. Then head on over to the Cape Fear Kite Festival Nov. 3-5, 2023. This event kicks off with a Friday Night Fly on Nov. 3 at the Courtyard by Marriott-Carolina Beach, followed by two days of flying on Nov. 4 and 5 at the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area.
