There are many different things we can do here in Alabama that we can’t necessarily do anywhere else. Out-of-towners may not fully understand why we do some of the things we do, but that’s just the way it is. The things we consider to be fun, others may consider to be absolutely ridiculous. Let’s take a look at 12 of the many things that every true Alabamian has done at least once.
1. You've explored at least one of Alabama's MANY caves.
2. You've participated in many recreational water activities, such as boating or fishing, on one of Alabama's many beautiful lakes or rivers.
3. You've spent an entire summer evening catching lightning bugs.
4. You've spent an afternoon mud riding with your friends.
5. You've experienced an extreme temperature change within a week.
6. While growing up, you went yard rolling a time or two.
7. You've had the unfortunate experience of getting stuck on the road behind a tractor.
8. You've taken shelter after the town's tornado siren went off.
9. You've attended a high school...
or college football game. Or BOTH!
10. You've visited the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville.
11. You've eaten biscuits with chocolate gravy. If you haven't, you're truly missing out!
12. You've taken a vacation to one of Alabama's beautiful white-sand beaches.
