Utah is no stranger to themed festivals. From Strawberry Days to Pioneer Days to Peach Days, it seems like there’s a festival for everything in our state. But, there’s one themed festival that has been going strong for nearly a century — Payson City Golden Onion Days. First held in 1929, this onion-themed festival in Utah celebrates Payson City’s onion production. Held over Labor Day Weekend each year, this event has a little something for every member of the family.
For more information about this year’s event, visit Payson City’s official website and the Payson City Facebook page.
What are some of your favorite festivals in Utah? Have you ever attended Payson City Golden Onion Days? Did you know it has been a tradition since 1929? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
If you need someplace to stay during the festival, check out some of the hotels in the area. And, if you want to stay a little longer, we’ve got a full day trip in Payson planned for you.
