From small-town festivals to the massive California State Fair at Cal Expo, summertime is a great time to explore NorCal towns and cities through community festivals. It’s fun to learn more about various areas of Northern California and what those areas are known for producing.

Whether you're spending one night or seven, renting a houseboat is the best way to see Shasta Lake. This massive blue reservoir is known as one of the premier house boating bodies of water in the country. You can rent basic models or luxury houseboats that come with every amenity one could imagine.

Float the Feather River, the Yuba River, the American River, the Sacramento River, and many others! No matter where you’re located in Northern California, there are lazy portions of these rivers that are popular floating spots in the summertime.
