Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Georgia’s capital has its problems (namely, traffic), but you’ve got to admit, there’s also a lot to love about Atlanta. It’s one of the largest cities in the southeast, and has an unbeatable cultural and music scene that you can’t find anywhere else. There are so many grand attractions here to satisfy any type of traveler, whether you’re looking for museums, fun things to do with kids, delicious restaurants to dine at, or the coolest boutique shops. It’s also home to some of the best unique places to stay in Georgia, and today, we’re featuring a delightful vacation rental home in Buckhead, the trendiest neighborhood in Atlanta. We’ve even got the perfect 2-day itinerary planned, so next time you’re looking for a quick weekend trip to Atlanta, here’s a great schedule for you:
This European-style estate home is nicknamed "Haven Mansion" and is easily-accessed from any of the highways that lead into Atlanta. Buckhead is among the city's most luxurious neighborhoods.
Everything you need for a grand stay is here, including all the amenities of home (and even an air hockey table). We wouldn't blame you if you'd want to lounge around in luxury for a bit, but make sure you don't forget about all the adventure the city has waiting for you.
The World of Coca-Cola is one of the most-visited attractions in Atlanta. This 20-acre museum details the history of the South's favorite beverage and has tons of interactive exhibits.

It's easy to see why this spot is such a popular destination for families. The World of Coca-Cola takes about 2-3 hours to go through in its entirety and is suitable for all ages.
Another must-visit spot in Atlanta is the Atlanta History Center, which is located in Buckhead, so it's close to the Haven Mansion if you choose to stay there. This 33-acre complex has exhibitions, beautiful gardens, and more.
Atlanta History Center, 130 W Paces Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30305, USA
It's also home to one of my personal favorite Atlanta attractions, the Atlanta Cyclorama. This massive cylindrical painting of the Civil War is one of just a few cycloramas in the country.
Prefer to enjoy the outdoors? Chastain Memorial Park is the largest city park in Atlanta, spanning more than 260 acres. It's filled with trails, tennis courts, a golf course, and even has a swimming pool.

Speaking of natural beauty, The Garden Room is a great option if you're looking for restaurants near Buckhead. This immersive garden restaurant will make you feel like you entered a fairy tale!
