These die-cast collectible cars were one of the most popular toy brands for decades, since their introduction in 1953, and they expanded to produce not just cars but vehicles of all kinds. Many kids no doubt had massive collections of Matchbox cars – but nothing like the ones found at the Matchbox Road Museum in Newfield, a one-of-a-kind small-town museum in NJ. This huge warehouse is a tribute to all things Matchbox, and over fifty thousand collectible cars dating back to the early days of the company can be found in its walls. It’s a truly unique experience, and enough to make you want to break out the old toys and set them up for a race!
