Within the Boston Mountains sits a wilderness area that master of wild places, Tim Ernst, calls “One of the most scenic areas in this country. And I do mean the United States.” Backpacker Magazine hails it as “Arkansas’s Waterfall Paradise.” They’re not talking about one of our more popular state parks, either. They’re referring to the Richland Creek Wilderness, and they’re absolutely right to call it a paradise.
