I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and will never tire of the West Coast, although I spent several years living in Southeast Asia, about as far from California as you can get. Wherever I am in the world, I love straying from the beaten path, experiencing local life, and discovering hidden gems - camera in hand. The beach is my happy place and when I am not there (or writing), you will usually find me baking, watching movies, and cuddling my pugs. I have traveled around the country and around the world, and it never, ever gets old. Being able to combine my passion for travel and my love of writing is nothing short of a dream.
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Beverly Hills is widely known for its Hollywood history, luxury shopping, fine dining, star-spotting, and the celebrities who have called it home. If there is one place that embodies the very essence of this famous city, it is the historic Beverly Hills Hotel. Not only is this one of the best hotels in Beverly Hills, but it is also one of the most amazing hotels in Southern California.
The Beverly Hills Hotel, known as the “Pink Palace” and enveloped in 12 acres of lush gardens, palms, and flowers, was named even before the city was established. Instantly recognizable and known around the world, this classic hotel is virtually a star in its own right.
To enter the hotel, guests walk up the signature red carpet like Hollywood royalty, instantly becoming part of the incredible Tinsel Town legacy that is the Beverly Hills Hotel.
This iconic hotel has been the city’s hotspot, welcoming the brightest stars of Hollywood into this grand lobby, for over 100 years. Step inside and start making some unforgettable memories of your own.
Every room, suite, and bungalow exudes the vintage glamour of a bygone era combined with modern luxury and convenience, reflecting the hotel’s original motto which stated that every guest was “entitled to the best of everything, regardless of cost.” The “Pink Palace” is known for providing guests, famous or not, with privacy, luxury, and incomparable service.
Hang out at Los Angeles’ favorite sparkling pool that originally opened as “The Sand and Pool Club” in 1938 - with real sand to mimic the beach! Imagine being here with Katharine Hepburn, who once dove in with her clothes on, or attending The Beatles’ private pool party.
There are 11 luxurious private cabanas that feel like a plush living space, complete with cozy furnishings, a phone charging station, a 46-inch television with Apple TV, a personal safe, a mini fridge, and plush robes. They each also have three dedicated lounge chairs for soaking up some sun, as well as complimentary water, coconut water, fruit, sunscreen, and Evian misters.
The Polo Lounge restaurant at Beverly Hills Hotel has long been a hangout for Hollywood A-listers, deal makers, and celebrities, and it remains one of the top places in the city to see and be seen. The food is, of course, spectacular, but the stories, ambiance, and “star” gazing are the real appeal for many.
I have to admit that my favorite part of the Polo Lounge is this unbelievable garden patio. Enjoy brunch among the flowers or dinner under the stars and feel like Hollywood royalty.
Grab a seat at the counter in the Fountain Coffee Room and enjoy the famous silver-dollar pancakes or an old-fashioned milkshake while you imagine rubbing elbows with Marilyn Monroe or the members of Guns N’ Roses (they were actually signed at this counter!)
From the 80-year-old palm trees and banana leaves throughout the outdoor spaces to the tropical leaf wallpaper in the corridors, this seductive hotel feels like a garden oasis far from the city.
The Beverly Hills Hotel oozes both luxury and Hollywood history. What do you think of this incredible piece of history in Beverly Hills? Will you become a part of the legacy?
