This park has a replica of the very first house ever built in Kentucky! It stands on the same land where the original was built in the 1700s by Thomas Walker, who led the first expedition through the Cumberland Gap. Free tours of the house are available.

There are playgrounds dotted throughout the site, picnic areas with grills, and even a miniature golf course where the family can putt about. It’s next to a gift shop where you can buy Kentucky souvenirs.

Best of all, there are two primitive camping sites here and the forest that is nestled up against this park contains hiking trails that will lead you to stunning sights like this.
