The Everglades is truly one of the country’s most amazing natural wonders. Pachaug State Forest is absolutely massive. The forest spans nearly 26,500 acres and spreads throughout six towns. It's home to miles of hiking trails, immense history, and tons of natural beauty.

Within this region, you'll also find the gorgeous Pachaug-Great Meadow Swamp. The swamp was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1973 and is one of the largest Atlantic white cedar swamps in the country.
