Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
There are hundreds of small towns in Indiana; some of them are so small that there’s a population of less than 200, but most of our small towns tend to have a population of around 1,000-2,000 people. Take, for example, the town of Jasonville; Jasonville’s population as of the 2020 census was just 1,966 people, making it the epitome of a Hoosier State small town. Jasonville is a little more than just a small town, though – it’s also home to one of Indiana’s most beautiful state parks! A visit to Jasonville will never be complete without also visiting Shakamak State Park, and it’s an adventure you’ll always treasure.
For more information about the park, including how to reserve camp spots and more, be sure to visit the official Department of Natural Resources website.
