Many unique places are located throughout Alabama. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, something suddenly catches your eye. From one-of-a-kind parks to unique structures, and whimsical statues to historical artifacts, here are 11 amazing marvels in Alabama that must be seen to be believed:
Natural Bridge, which is located in the town of the same name, is 148 feet long - making it the longest natural bridge east of the Rockies. This amazing rock arch was formed more than 200 million years ago.
The "Grave of Miss Baker" is located in Huntsville at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Miss Baker was the first animal (squirrel monkey) from the United States to fly in space and make it back alive.

Albertville is known as the "Fire Hydrant Capital of the World." The Mueller Company in Albertville made the one millionth fire hydrant in 1991, and it's currently displayed in front of the city's Chamber of Commerce.

In Dothan, the "Peanut Capital of the World," you can't help but notice the whimsical peanut statues scattered throughout the town. Especially since there are more than 60 of them. The "Peanuts on Parade" is a public art project that was formerly known as "Peanuts Around Town."
On Gravity Hill Road, many people have witnessed their cars roll uphill while in neutral. Is this really happening, or is it simply an illusion? Many people wonder what's behind this phenomenon.

On November 30, 1954, a meteorite crashed through the roof of Ann Hodges home and struck her. She survived and is the only known person in history to ever be struck by a meteorite. This meteorite can be viewed at the Alabama Museum of Natural History (Tuscaloosa).
The Rock Animal Zoo features about two dozen animals that were created from limestone and brightly-colored paints. This is the only known rock zoo of its kind in Alabama.
Located within Prattville's Wilderness Park is a bamboo forest with stalks as high as 60 feet. Wilderness Park was the first park of its kind to be developed in the United States, and it was supposedly used for training purposes during the Vietnam War.

The Barber Marina Dinosaurs is a group of four life-size statues that are tucked away in the wooded area near Barber Marina. These incredible dinosaur statues were built for billionaire George Barber.
This unique church was built in 1937 and is fused into a sandstone boulder, which is currently used as the pulpit's backdrop.
While strolling along Orr Park's Tinglewood Trail, you'll come across many unique tree carvings that were created by Tim Tingle - a local artist. A few examples of his carvings include wizards, dragons, animals and whimsical faces.
