If you’ve never been to Mardi Gras—or even if you have—there’s one place in New Orleans that you absolutely have to see. That’s Blaine Kern’s Mardi Gras world, one of the most fascinating places to explore in all of New Orleans.
The Blaine Kern studios have created the mardi gras floats that bring Carnival to life, and have since 1947.
The tour offers info about how these floats are made from the ground up, not to mention all of the amazing photo opportunities you’ll find exploring here!
There are also many other unique Carnival relics from throughout history.
There is also plenty of space for private events at this location of the museum, including the Grand Oaks mansion, an entire indoor/outdoor installation that is simply gorgeous.
