Georgia Urban Legends, Myths & Folklore: Not Your Average Bucket List Season 2
The Peach State is one of the oldest states in the country. As one of the original 13 colonies, of course, there’s a lot of history here, which means we also have quite a few Georgia urban legends and Georgia myths… and they’re not all sunshine and rainbows. History sometimes leads to some pretty creepy folklore and legends. In our second season of our Not Your Average Bucket List podcast, we’re going to be diving into all things haunted and creepy all throughout the United States. In this episode, we’re heading down south to the Peach State to check out some of the most creepy places in Georgia.
Our premiere episode for the podcast takes us through Savannah, widely considered to be one of the most haunted cities in the country. We talk about the 17Hundred90 Inn, a place declared by many to be the most haunted inn in Savannah. Afterward, we’ll take a trip back in time to the early days of Lake Lanier, a huge reservoir in the northern part of the state. Did you know that Lake Lanier is hiding one of the most talked about underwater ghost towns in America? Have you ever wondered why so many people consider Lake Lanier to be cursed? Check out some of these fun facts about Georgia:
