Did you know corndogs were invented in Oregon? Well, there’s some debate on that – corndog creation is also claimed by Texas, Illinois, and California – but many people believe that the corndog was invented by George and Versa Boyington of Rockaway Beach, Oregon in 1939. The couple served them at their restaurant, Pronto Pup, which still serves ’em up today. However, if you don’t feel like driving out to the coast for a corndog, you can get some of the best corndogs in Oregon right on East Burnside in Portland at Franks-A-Lot. This hot dog stand is wonderful in every way and wait until you see the size of the corndogs. Read on to learn more!
Franks-A-Lot is a true Portland gem. There’s something for everyone among Frank’s offerings, but one thing is for sure – you’re going to want a corndog! Bring your appetite!
