Hidden in Logansport, Indiana, is a little park with a quarry, several stunning trails, and plenty of ways to relax. All of these things are parts of why this park is so enticing, but there’s one bit in particular that attracts folks from all over and then keeps them coming back for more: the France Park waterfall. So, yes, come out to France Park for the recreation potential, but stick around for this amazing little waterfall. We can’t get enough of it. Come out and see why France Park Falls is one of the coolest waterfalls in Indiana, and be sure to bring a camera – it’s incredibly photogenic.
Once upon a time, this beautiful little area was a quarry where limestone and other goodies were extracted from the earth.
But there's one particular thing at France Park that seems to lure folks in better than anything else. Yes, the quarry is absolutely beautiful (and the attached lake is also to die for), but it's the beautifully blue France Park waterfall that really draws 'em in.

Cascading 15 feet down is pristine crystalline water, which flows into Lake Elzbek.
Within France Park is five to seven miles of wonderful trails for hiking, biking, or running - and most of them lead up to or past the Falls. It's a popular destination in the warmer months, so if that's when you plan to check it out, arrive early and preferably during the week.
What gives the water its intriguing blue-green hue? Interestingly, this coloration is a result of minerals and limestone present in the area. The limestone here is of tremendous quality, and back in the day, this quarry produced literal tons of it by the day.
Now, it's a bit quieter around here, the sounds of industry and mining replaced with the hooting and hollering of kids and adults alike having a blast.
You can even camp here between May 1st through October 31st (camping closes down during the cold months). There are more than 200 campsites to choose from with an array of amenities. Other fun stuff to do around here includes things like the 24-hole disc golf course, fishing, and even a little hunting.
