Utah is home to all types of museums. From fascinating dinosaur museums to children’s museums, there really is a day trip destination for everyone. But, located in Salt Lake City is one unique museum that many Utahns have never even heard of — the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum. Inspiring adventure, this little-known museum in Utah is one destination that will instantly impress you.
Located on 476 W 600 N in Salt Lake City, and just off I-15, the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum is truly one of a kind. This museum’s goal is to inspire adventure and they do it in the coolest way.
This museum was founded by Greg Miller who has a passion for Land Cruisers and has been collecting this type of vehicle for years. He has even taken his favorite vehicle on journeys all around the world including to Antarctica. When Miller discovered there wasn’t a museum for this type of vehicle, he got to work displaying his own collection and sharing some fascinating stories.
This museum celebrates the history of the Toyota Land Cruiser. As you walk around you will see nearly 100 models of Land Cruisers with some automobiles dating back to the 1950s.
Many of the models on display have been loaned to the museum by private collectors and vehicle enthusiasts. And even if you know very little about this type of automobile, the items in this museum are fascinating.
To inspire adventure and make you excited to step outside and explore Utah, there is also a large 3D map of Utah that you do not want to miss.
The Land Cruiser Heritage Museum is free to the public and open Monday through Saturday. Admission prices are based on age and children five and under are free.
