You might be wondering how QuoteWizard determined which states have the best and worst drivers. If so, wonder no more! QuoteWizard looked at data from millions of insurance quotes to determine how each state ranked. Accidents, DUIs, citations, and speeding tickets were the four pieces of criteria used.
The overall best driving state is Connecticut, which ranked 45th in number of accidents, 49th in number of speeding tickets, and 50th in number of citations. Pretty impressive, right?
Mississippi, which happens to be one of Alabama's neighboring states, also made the list for having some of the best drivers in the nation. Coming in at #11, Mississippi ranked higher than Alabama. However, it's a wonderful feeling knowing that we're right next door to a state with some pretty great drivers.
Regarding the state with the worst drivers in the nation, QuoteWizard decided that honor belongs to Utah because of its high ranking in every dangerous driving category.
