Glamping has gained popularity over the last few years, and if you’ve never experienced it, you’re in for a treat. If old-school tents are not your idea of fun, but a full-blown cabin seems too much, then glamping is perfect for you. Glampsites typically offer a happy hybrid of the two, where you’ll most likely have an actual bed, electricity, and maybe even a fridge. This campground in Louisiana offers a little bit of everything, so you can decide your way to stay and enjoy the views. And boy, are the views stunning!
When it comes to campgrounds in Louisiana, few can compare to the Shreveport North/Caddo Lake KOA.
Both large and small cabins are available for those who prefer the amenities of home (like a bathroom and a television). You can also bring your RV and hook up here, or go old-school with a tent and sleep under the stars. For the more adventurous campers, you've got some very unique options.

You'll have a mini fridge, electricity, air conditioning, and heat, which can be deal breakers for many. As you can see in the photo above, it's very spacious! That's a king-sized bed front and center, and there are also twin-sized bunk beds and a table just outside the frame. Neither the teepees or the covered wagons have their own bathrooms, but the restrooms are located nearby.
The family-friendly campground has plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, like train rides, jumping pillows, playgrounds, and more.
There's even a stocked pond where you can do a little fishing (catch and release) or rent a swan-themed pedal boat and cruise around the pond on your own.
You don't see views like this in Louisiana very often!
