I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and will never tire of the West Coast, although I spent several years living in Southeast Asia, about as far from California as you can get. Wherever I am in the world, I love straying from the beaten path, experiencing local life, and discovering hidden gems - camera in hand. The beach is my happy place and when I am not there (or writing), you will usually find me baking, watching movies, and cuddling my pugs. I have traveled around the country and around the world, and it never, ever gets old. Being able to combine my passion for travel and my love of writing is nothing short of a dream.
Throughout Southern California, and the world for that matter, there are charming cities and quaint little towns, each offering something unique in the way of food, nature, activities, or history. However, there are very few that offer all of those and more in one place. La Jolla, in San Diego County, is just such an enchanting town in Southern California – one where you can enjoy wilderness trails, upscale shopping and dining, pristine beaches, cave exploration, and even bioluminescent waves.
As if there was not enough to do in La Jolla by the Sea to make you want to stay awhile, it is just north of downtown San Diego, where there is another world of things to see and do. Have you visited this enchanting town in Southern California? What was your favorite thing about La Jolla?
