Ready to hit the trails? One of the most unexpectedly scenic hikes is found in the southwestern part of the state, often overlooked by many nature lovers. This little area is a honey hole for wildlife viewing, fishing, and all sorts of outdoor adventures. And this particular scenic hike in Louisiana is a short and sweet trail that will take you through one of the most underrated National Wildlife Refuges in Louisiana.
While you’re in the area, check out the 180-mile Creole Nature Trail. Of course, you don’t have to drive all 180 miles in a day, but even just a part of it will take you on a spectacularly scenic ride!
