Even if your schedule’s already chock-full, block out a bit of time to stroll through this magical lights display in Missouri.
An absolutely breathtaking destination during the warmer months, Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden in Springfield transforms into an enchanting wonderland of lights during Christmastime.
Nestled in the Springfield Botanical Gardens, the 7.5-acre stroll garden hosts Gardens Aglow on select evenings from late November through the end of the year.
With more than 175,000 glowing lights, the stroll garden makes it easy to get in the Christmas spirit - even if you're feeling a bit bah humbug this year.
A leisurely wander through Gardens Aglow, which is handicap accessible, usually takes around a half an hour. However, you can take as long as you'd like. Benches are available to sit back, take a breather, and enjoy the scenery.
Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the garden. All members of the Friends of the Garden or Springfield Sister Cities Association get in free the entire holiday season.
