Crystal Springs was once known as the "Tomatopolis of the World," so it should come as no surprise that the city hosts an annual festival to celebrate all things tomato. Held the last Saturday in June, the festival includes everything from farmers and flea markets to live entertainment and a tomato museum.
"Mississippi’s Giant House Party" attracts thousands of people from all across the country every July. The week-long fair is made up of a ton of activities that include everything from rides to political speeches to races.

Held every June, this Poplarville festival attracts over 10,000 visitors every year. More than just blueberries, the annual event includes locally made arts and crafts, storytelling, live entertainment, and lots of food.
This much anticipated Natchez event attracts culinary enthusiasts from near and far. Attendees are given the opportunity to sample delicious creations from some of the region’s most prominent chefs and restaurants, which is accompanied by an extensive variety of wine.

For nearly three decades, crowds have gathered in Corinth to celebrate the local culinary creation, the slugburger. This three-day festival is held in July and includes live entertainment, carnival rides, a market, pageant, and a slugburger eating competition. If you’ve never been to the festival, this would be a great year to check it out because, according to the website, there will be several new additions this July.
As if the town of Water Valley wasn’t charming enough, the city hosts an annual Watermelon Carnival every August. The two-day long event takes place in Water Valley’s downtown area and includes games, food booths, a pageant, a street dance, fireworks, an antique car show, and more.
This two-day long event is a must for music enthusiasts. The fourth annual Rhythm and Blues Festival will take place this August in downtown Jackson at the Jackson Convention Complex. Festival goers will be treated to over 30 different performances by an array of rhythm and blues artists.

Repticon will be held at Southaven’s Ladner Center on July 30th and 31st. During the two-day long event, visitors will have the chance to get up close and personal with reptiles, amphibians, and other exotic animals all while learning about them from top breeders and educators.
