A Southern Belle is a beautiful and charming woman from the South. She has a dazzling smile and wonderful manners - calling each person she meets 'sir' or 'ma'am' regardless of their age. She can also be recognized by her unforgettable Southern accent. There are many Southern Belles throughout Alabama. They may not live on plantations anymore, but they're out there.
2. The Alabama Fan
Alabama fans know the college football schedule by heart, they think Nick Saban hung the moon, and they even know the exact date of Bear Bryant's death. Oh, and let's not forget their favorite thing to say: "Roll Tide!"
3. The Auburn Fan
Much like the Alabama fan, the Auburn fan knows the college football schedule by heart, they know exactly where Toomer's Corner is, and they of course get irritated by Alabama fans. And let's also not forget their favorite thing to say: "War Eagle!"

Muscle Shoals, Alabama is home to Fame Recording Studios. This studio was once known as the "Hit Recording Capital of the World." Musicians still come into the studio to record. Alabama has some of the largest fishing tournaments in the country.

This may be a huge stereotype, but Alabama does have plenty of rednecks.

Nascar fans are scattered all over Alabama. You can't help but come across someone wearing a t-shirt with their favorite driver plastered on it, or driving past a car with a NASCAR tag on the front. It's just not going to happen!
12. The Poarch Creek Indian
The Poarch Creek Indians are the ONLY federally recognized tribe of Native Americans in Alabama. This tribe operates three gaming casinos: Wind Creek Casino and Hotel in Atmore, Creek Casino Wetumpka at Hickory Ground in Wetumpka, and Creek Casino Montgomery in Montgomery.
13. The Hunter
Alabama has 1.3 million acres of public hunting land, and hunters have an opportunity to hunt a variety of species such as deer, wild turkey, quail, waterfowl, rabbits, etc. If you're an Alabama hunter, you're probably counting down the days at this very moment until the opening day of hunting season.
