Dining at a beautiful restaurant in Connecticut is such a treat. Not only do you get to enjoy amazing food, but you get a side of great views to top it all off. We’re lucky enough to have a variety of restaurants with great views, whether you’re looking for waterfall scenery, riverfront dining, or just an all-around majestic eatery. One Nutmeg State restaurant with pretty spectacular views is Pier131 Bar + Kitchen. This tasty spot serves up delicious meals along with stellar views of the mighty Housatonic River.
The Housatonic is one of the longest rivers in the state, with a total length of around 150 miles through Massachusetts and western Connecticut. That's a lot of riverfront acreage, and Pier131 is one of the prettiest restaurants in the area. It's conveniently located in downtown Shelton.
Whenever possible, Pier131 believes in supporting local farmers and producers. From the beers on tap to the vegetables in the salads, everything here is locally-sourced, when possible.
