Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). Is it just us, or do big city restaurants tend to get all the love? Don’t get us wrong: there are plenty of phenomenal places to eat in Atlanta, Savannah, Macon, and all our other large, metropolitan cities. With that being said, you can certainly find some pretty amazing small-town restaurants in the Peach State. Our small towns in Georgia are spectacular and full of history, fun boutique shops, unique attractions, and, of course, delicious restaurants. One of our very favorite small-town restaurants in the state is the Fish Eye Grill in Burke County. This little spot is tucked away in the little town of Girard. Girard boasts a population of under 200 people, but looking at Fish Eye Grill reviews, you’ll see it has a lot to offer on the dining scene. This place has wonderful service, a great small-town atmosphere, and, of course, delicious food. This rustic spot is definitely worth a visit – check it out:
If you’d like to find more Fish Eye Grill photos or information, including this week’s specials, make sure to check out the Fish Eye Grill Facebook page.
Augusta may get most of its press around Masters season, but I love a visit here at any time of year. Check out some of the Vrbo great vacation rentals in Augusta, GA – just make sure you remember to take a trip into Girard for a meal!
