I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
When we talk about the holidays in Kentucky, it’s a total sensory experience. There’s a crispness to the air and vivid, crunchy foliage. There’s the warmth of fire pits and aromas of fresh-baked treats. Cinnamon, pumpkin spice, ginger, cloves… the smells of fall are the best seasonal candle. Especially when these aromas are accompanied by the delicious array of fresh-baked treats… in particular, pie. Pumpkin pie and pecan pie, in all their cinnamon-spiced sweetness, are an inextricable part of the holiday equation that we wait all year to enjoy. And in Kentucky, folks RAVE about the seasonal pies at Hadorn’s Bakery.
