Hey! I'm a freelance writer and guidebook author. I've authored "New Hampshire's 52 With A View - A Hiker's Guide", serve as editor of Appalachian Mountain Club's "Southern New Hampshire Trail Guide", and and am co-editor of the "White Mountain Guide", also for AMC. I'm currently beginning work on the 6th Edition of AMC's Southern New Hampshire Trail Guide, which will be published in 2025. I live in southern New Hampshire and can usually be found wandering throughout the state's mountains and forests.
The Musso & Frank Grill is one of Hollywood’s oldest and most revered eateries. Opened in 1919, entrepreneur Frank Toulet and Oregon restaurateur Joseph Musso created the restaurant with the goal of providing outstanding service and the finest dining. French chef Jean Rue joined the two men and led the kitchen for more than 50 years. Still family-owned and operated, the restaurant has been passed down over the generations with no compromise on the founder’s original goal of dining excellence.
Today, visitors to The Musso & Frank Grill can sit at that same bar or in the leather-seated booths where these giants of stage and script dined, and perhaps catch sight of a modern Hollywood star while perusing the 100-year-old classic menu.
If you’re in the Hollywood area and are looking for both a fine dining experience and an immersion into the local history, look no further than The Musso & Frank Grill. More information is available on the restaurant’s website and Facebook page.
