Fall in Utah is absolutely stunning. When the foliage hits its peak, there are fall destinations in Utah that will take your breath away. While you can always enjoy the fall foliage on a hike or even a scenic drive, how about a bike ride? The Wasatch Crest Trail is one of the most popular biking trails in Utah. This trail, in its entirety, is more than 18 miles but as you explore, you will experience autumn like never before.
The Wasatch Crest Trail is a roughly 18-mile out-and-back trail near both Park City and Salt Lake City. If you choose to tackle this trail on your own, it’s not for the faint of heart. The trail is hard and can take all day to complete.
Fortunately, if you just want to enjoy a few miles of singletrack, options are available. Shuttles, like those from Big Rack Shuttle, make this trail accessible for all skill levels and let you explore the incredible fall colors without too strenuous of effort.
There are also multiple ride options available. Rather than spend all day riding on the mountain and through fall foliage, if using a shuttle, the average rides are approximately one to three hours — perfect for anyone who wants to get outdoors, move their body, and enjoy the striking fall beauty.
Appointments are required if you choose to use a shuttle. You will want to make reservations as soon as possible as spots can fill up quickly. Also, e-bikes are not allowed on the trail and will not be transported.
No matter what tour you choose, or even if you wish to tackle this trail all on your own, we highly suggest you bring a camera. You will feel like you are riding through a painting as the colors can be exquisite.
