Alabama is home to such a variety of attractions, including several that are perfect for a family day trip. Two attractions in particular are Deibert Park and the Children’s Museum of the Shoals. Deibert Park, which opened to the public in 2001, is a beautiful city park in Florence, Alabama.

It covers approximately 70 acres and is the perfect outdoor location for a family day trip.
There are many features of Deibert Park that make it such a fun location to spend a day, including walking trails, ponds, and large areas for spreading out a picnic blanket.
There's also a playground with state-of-the-art equipment that children enjoy playing on.
Speaking of children, also located on the grounds of Deibert Park is the Children's Museum of the Shoals, which is also referred to as Children's Museum Shoals.
