The highways leading in and out of Arizona are pretty desolate. As such, having landmarks to keep an eye out for is a must when it comes to surviving a lengthy car ride. Perhaps our favorite roadside attraction in the Grand Canyon State is the “Welcome to Arizona” sign that greets all who enter this magical place we call home. Your spirits are guaranteed to lift when you see this guiding light that lets you know you’ve arrived in the best state in America!
When you've been cooped up in the car for a while - which, let's face it - happens a lot when you're traveling through the deserts of the American Southwest, nothing is quite as comforting as seeing the "Welcome to Arizona" road sign.
So, where are the welcome to Arizona sign locations? These signs are scattered all along our state's borders. You may see a "Welcome to Arizona" sign from California, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, and even Mexico, letting you know that you've safely made it into the best state in America.
You may even see cacti blooming all around the sign - a quintessential Arizona sight that, no matter how long you've called the Grand Canyon State home, simply never gets old.
...or you enter through Mexico and traverse the endless sea of Saguaros at Saguaro National Park, returning to Arizona after spending time out of the state is pure medicine for the soul. So, welcome to Arizona! Sure is nice to be back, isn't it?
