If you’re looking for a fun, easy trail that’s perfect for a hike in South Jersey, check out the Kinkora Trail! This easy out-and-back trek is perfect for anyone looking for a breath of fresh air. Enjoy this unique paved hiking trail in New Jersey for an afternoon of outdoor fun!
The Kinkora Trail is a one-way rail trail that spans for 2.15 miles between Mansfield Community Park and Island Road in the town of Columbus.
This paved out-and-back trail is perfect for families who love to explore the outdoors, and anyone looking for a peaceful place to walk.
The trail is a nice mix of shade and sun. You won't feel like you're under the trees the whole time, but you'll also find some relief from the sun's strongest rays.
This trail is accessible to wheelchair users, too. There are two designated van-accessible spaces in the parking lot, and the paved trail surface is more than 5' wide throughout. The path is almost entirely flat, and the park does note the grade is estimated to be 3% or less.
Mink, foxes, and coyote are among the mammals here, while the list of birds is pages long. Flickers, hawks, warblers, and just about any other local bird you can think of likes to spend time here.
