Remote often means an abundance of peace, quiet, and solitude. If you’re craving both a challenge and some alone time, you will most certainly find both on this beautiful and remote trail in Missouri. Some, in fact, consider it Missouri’s most remote trail. Before you set off, though, make sure you’re prepared for the challenge that awaits.

You'll need at least 15 hours, according to the Missouri State Parks, to complete the 15-mile Brushy Creek Trail, which runs through the Roger Pioneer Backcountry.
