Are you always on the hunt for fresh seafood or the best lobster roll around? Well, there’s a ramshackle seafood restaurant in Massachusetts you’ll just have to try. Head up to the northeastern part of the state and stop at Bob Lobster for some of the best seafood (lobster rolls included) in the state.
Bob Lobster is a ramshackle seafood shack located along the Merrimack River in Newburyport. The perfectly picturesque setting, however, is second to the delectable food you'll find here.
Open seasonally from spring until early winter, Bob Lobster is a no-fuss establishment that had its start as a seafood market in 2001. Eventually, the restaurant was added and it quickly became a popular local spot.
From soups and chowders to fried and grilled seafood, lobster rolls, salads, sandwiches, poutine, and more, there are enough options on the menu to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.
Maybe you'll try one of the many sandwiches with either fish, crab salad, tuna salad, or salmon. If you don't want seafood, there's always the chicken or braised short rib sandwich.
Lobster rolls are some of the most popular menu items here at Bob Lobster. In addition to a regular lobster roll, you can order one with fried avocado, one mixed with braised short rib (the Surf & Turf), or one mixed with either sriracha aioli or wasabi.
