On a hot summer day, an expansive Wisconsin Dells waterpark beckons families with the opportunity for rest relaxation, and plenty of thrills. Noah’s Ark is a huge waterpark that delivers summer fun in a very big way. It’s the perfect place to escape for a day trip with family or friends – here’s what’s waiting for you at this enormous Wisconsin waterpark.
Noah’s Ark is located in Lake Delton, part of the Wisconsin Dells area. The Dells calls itself the Waterpark Capital of the World and Noah’s Ark does a great job of bolstering the town’s claim.
The waterpark dates back to 1979 and was originally an attraction with a bumper boat ride and a go-kart track. It was a modest start to what would become a very big venture.
The waterpark today has two huge wave pools, two lazy rivers, 51 slides, and numerous other attractions. It uses more than 2 million gallons of water daily!
In fact, the waterpark bills itself as Americas’s Largest Waterpark. It has a ton of cool features. It has a popular water coaster called the Black Anaconda and a ride called the Time Warp, the world’s largest bowl ride.
And that’s not all – there’s also a near-vertical looping waterslide called the Scorpion’s Tail and a Surfing Safari that challenges visitors to catch a wave.
While you can have a thrill a minute at Noah’s Ark, this is also a place where you can just relax and enjoy the cool refreshing water. You’ll forget all about that sweltering Wisconsin weather!
Noah’s Ark is open seasonally – for hours and admission information, visit the waterpark’s website. While you’re in the Wisconsin Dells, here’s an interesting (and a little creepy) photo museum you may want to visit.
