Hiking adventures are always good fun when you need some fresh air. From a stunning rock formation to a few hidden waterfalls that disappear throughout the year, this hiking trail is a hidden gem for sure. Today's adventure starts at Ferne Clyffe State Park, on the Happy Hollow Trail. Out here, it's nice and quiet without too many hikers to run into.
Happy Hollow Trail is rated as moderate, with 344 feet of elevation gain to give a bit of a challenge. As long as you stick to the path, however, you should be fine.
If you're lucky and it's the right season, waterfalls pop up in a few rocky areas, making for instant relaxation. The flowing water is best in the spring after a nice rain, but can you find all of the waterfall areas hidden throughout?
Along with the unique rock arch and the waterfalls, there are unique wildlife spotting opportunities around. If you have a keen eye, this is the time to get a quick photograph of one of the creatures that lives here.
The trail is dog friendly, as long as your four legged friends remain on leashes. It's best to visit during warmer months, but is beautiful year-round if you have the proper footwear. Make sure to leave nothing behind when you head out!
