A good slice of pizza is one of life’s simplest pleasures, and there is no lack of dining pleasure in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. With a myriad of small local shops and bigger dining chains scattered liberally across the downtown expanse, there’s a little something for everyone in this Mississippi River-adjacent city. Aldo’s Pizza Pies has two locations, one in Midtown and the other downtown, but you can be sure that both spots serve up a classic pie with an emphasis on high quality. If you find yourself wandering by, you just might want to stop.
Aldo’s Pizza Pies has a large outdoor patio in addition to its airy dining room, so the pizza joint is welcoming to parties of all shapes and sizes. Everything is served family-style, which tends to be the way of the world when it comes to pizza parlors, and there is a bar as well for those in your party craving a cold one.
Aldo’s has an almost perfect 5-stary rating on Google, both for its fresh, delicious meals and the kind service visitors enjoy. Grab ‘n go lunch specials are popular with the locals, including a slice of pizza and a fountain drink, and appetizers like garlic knots and bruschetta are also popular.
Expect classic and specialty pies, and we have to encourage the goat cheese flecked Gina Bellina served with sun-dried to tomato and black olives, and the Memphis (pictured) is a BBQ pizza topped with Central BBQ sauce and pulled pork. It’s ridiculously decadent.
You can also choose to build your own pizza for $13 for a 12" and $19 for an 18". Sandwiches are available as well, and a majority are Italian-inspired with a lot of meat and spice. Fresh salads are also on the menu, as well as New York cheesecake and mini chocolate chip cannoli for dessert.
Will you be stopping by for something to eat? Aldo’s Pizza Pies is currently open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
Delicious! Are you calling in or dining out for dinner tonight? You can learn more about Aldo’s Pizza Pies either on its official Facebook page or website.
