Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). With so many great trails in Georgia, it can be hard to make a to-do list of ones you need to check out. So many of them have spectacular scenery! One of our favorite trails in Columbus is the Heath Lake Loop that circles around the little Lake Heath, a reservoir that’s mostly known as a great fishing spot for locals. It’s a fairly easy trail that won’t take all day; it’s just under two miles for the whole loop. But it’s a pleasant little trail that will get your blood pumping and let you enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings!
The Heath Lake Loop is one of our favorite hidden trails to escape the hustle and bustle of the city! Have you ever traversed this little trail? Share your experiences in the comments.
