Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Nestled in southern Indiana is the Hoosier State’s oldest state forest. It was officially established in 1903 when it was realized that local woodworking facilities could run out of wood relatively quickly thanks to over-foresting; originally, it spanned just 2,028 acres. Today, it spans nearly 24,000 amazing acres, and guess what? It’s free to access, and it’s filled to the brim with amazing things to do, see, experience, and fall in love with. Come see why the Clark State Forest is home to some of the best hikes in Indiana, as well as some of the most breathtaking scenery. Check it out!
This amazing Hoosier State hike is easily one of the best hikes in Indiana, but of course, there are literally hundreds of others to choose from, too. Clark State Forest is an Indiana nature lover’s dream come true, and we are so proud to call it our own!
