Camping opportunities are in abundance here in the Beehive State. With so many to choose from, it can be hard to narrow down your options. Fortunately, there’s one campground in southern Utah that tends to stand out — Honeycomb Rocks Campground. Here, you will find campsites with giant boulders and unique rock formations that help you feel far away from the rest of the world. This is certainly one campground that you’ll want to add to your summer bucket list.
Honeycomb Rocks Campground is located in southern Utah. You’ll find this campground approximately 10 miles outside of the small town of Enterprise and near Enterprise Reservoir.
As you drive around, you’ll notice that this campground isn’t like many others in the Beehive State. It is filled with unique rocks that look like honeycomb.
These rocks not only create some unique scenery, but they are also large — very large! In fact, at several campsites, you'll feel tucked away and secluded as you sleep next to giant boulders.
There are 21 campsites throughout Honeycomb Rocks Campground. Each campsite features its own picnic table, fire pit, and tent pad. You will also find drinking water and vault toilets throughout this Utah campground as well.
Honeycomb Rocks Campground is a seasonal campground and is only open from May to September each year. If visiting early in the season, you will want to visit the Forest Service website to ensure this campground is open.
Also, make sure you don't wait until later in the day to set up camp. Reservations are not allowed and this is a first-come, first-serve campground.
While you can always spend time at your campsite, this campground sits next to Enterprise Reservoir. You can easily spend your day fishing, boating, or hiking. Please note that ATVs are prohibited in the campground.
