The Appalachian Trail, also known as the A.T., is a 2,135-trail that connects Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine.

This challenging trail follows the Appalachian Mountain chain and crosses a total of 14 states: Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
