Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). When you think of wine regions in the United States, the Nutmeg State may not be the first place to come to mind. However, there is a burgeoning wine industry in Connecticut. Visiting a winery is such a delightful experience. Learning about how the wine is produced, seeing the grapes grow on the vines, and, of course, sampling the wares are some of the best joys you can get in life. There’s no better time to visit wineries in Connecticut than now. Springtime is here, and the vineyards are beautiful, all decked out in their seasonal greenery!
The Connecticut wine trail is immense, and unfortunately we don’t have the time to list out every winery in Connecticut. Did we miss your favorite? Share your suggestions in the comments and maybe you’ll see them featured in a future road trip!
