There are no complicated holes or fancy obstacles here – but that’s where the charm lies.
One of the oldest continuously operating miniature golf courses in the world, Cool Crest opened in 1929 in the backyard of the original owner's house.
It was on the front lines of a miniature golf craze that spread like wildfire across the U.S. during the Great Depression. After all, it's one of the cheapest ways for families to get out of the house and have a good time!
Cool Crest boasts two challenging, yet kid-friendly courses that will test your resolves in an easygoing, lighthearted way.
While mini golf can sometimes be seen as a children's activity, Cool Crest has recently added an outdoor beer garden to shift the appeal towards adults.
Open during normal operating hours, the garden features a full bar with over two dozen types of beer, plus picnic tables and a stage for live music.
Local food trucks set up shop in the garden, serving everything from pizza to tacos guaranteed to tantalize your taste buds after a rousing round of mini golf.
Hours are 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, and 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday.
