We’re the first to recommend year-round hikes. Trekking through the snow, reveling in fall foliage, and dipping into a trail side swimming hole all make for wonderful experiences. However, there’s definitely something special about a springtime hike. Feeling the sun shine down on you and seeing the colors of all the newly blooming flowers is such a delightful experience after the long cold winter. One of the best places to see wildflowers in Connecticut (and one of our favorite spring trails in the state!) is the American Legion Forest’s Henry Buck Trail. This trail is a great option for anyone looking to check out all the beauty of spring in the Nutmeg State.
