Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). There are many great small towns in New York that make for excellent day trips. One that we especially love when the weather is warm is Hector. This charming little town has a population of around 5,000. Like the rest of the Finger Lakes region, it’s incredibly scenic, with natural wonders abounding. It’s also got some great options for wine lovers. The Finger Lakes wine region is considered one of the best producers of wine in the country, so if you like vino, you will definitely want to plan a stop here.
Have you visited Hector? Share your experiences in the comments! There are lots of other great wineries in the region, so we’d love to hear your favorites.
