We often find so many culinary gems hiding in Pennsylvania’s small towns. That’s good news, especially for those of us who are sweets fans. If you’re a fan of pie – classic, whoopie, or shoofly – you’re about to meet a bakery that deserves the top spot on your dessert bucket list. McClure’s Bakery in Pennsylvania may not look like much from the outside, but the pies and other goodies? You’ll keep coming back for more.
A visit to Pennsylvania's Amish Country, at least if you're a sweets fan, must include a stop at McClure's Bakery, nestled in the tiny town of Gap.
With the motto "from our oven to your table," McClure's Bakery offers the freshest, most flavorful baked goods around. However, you really have to taste the goodies to appreciate them.
If you love pie, you've come to the right place. Each pie is homemade, made from beloved, long-time recipes. Pies come in three sizes - eight, nine, and 10 inches.
The bakery is perhaps best known for a Pennsylvania favorite pie. You definitely want to try the shoofly pie (pictured below) or the chocolate shoofly pie.
