I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
The Bluegrass State is a nature lover’s paradise, with some of the most sublime and scenic hikes in the country. Many of these jaw-dropping trails can be found in the Daniel Boone National Forest and Red River Gorge, a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Within this wild and wonderful expanse, there’s a loop trail that’s perfect for a short day hike, and its scenic beauty changes with the arrival of each season. We’re talking, of course, about the Auxier Ridge Trail, one of the very best hikes in all of Kentucky.
Have you hiked the Auxier Ridge Trail before? This hike truly is remarkable all year-round, and we highly recommend enjoying this hike in every season!
