How do I find hidden gems in NJ?

The best way to find hidden gems in New Jersey is to get out there and explore. Here are a few hidden places and little-know destinations to get you started: (Read the entire list of NJ hidden gems here)

1. Green Sergeant's Covered Bridge: If you are a covered bridge hound set out on an adventure to see this beautiful bridge in Stockton, NJ. It's one of the last remaining covered bridges in New Jersey so be sure to check it out before it's gone.

2. Buttermilk Falls: This buttery beautiful waterfall in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is certainly delightful. There are hiking trails galore or you can simply drive up to a nearby parking area just to enjoy this enchanting waterfall staircase.

3. Papa's Tomato Pies: Undiscovered pizza joints are always fun to find and this local gem is at the top of our list. The oldest family-owned pizzeria in the entire US! It opened in 1912 if you can believe it.

4. Silverball Pinball Museum: A trip to Asbury Park wouldn't be complete without checking out this pinball machine museum. This is probably the best museum in the world because you can play with all of the pinball machines. Some of these beauties date back to the 1950s.

5. Cowtown Rodeo: Did you know the oldest weekly running rodeo in the United States is in New Jersey? You bet it is. Right in Pilesgrove, NJ you can catch some good old cowboy action from bull riding to barrel racing these good 'ole boys know their way around the rodeo.

6. Jersey Shore Pirates: Pirates in New Jersey? You bet. Brick, NJ has an official pirate ship set up for kids and us adults to play pirates. With interesting historical stories, water canons, hidden treasure, and pirate battles there is plenty of adventures to enjoy.
