Remember when you were a teenager and wanted nothing more than to leave your home state and never return? Oh, the good old days of knowing it all… However, as time went on, you probably realized that the reason you wanted to leave is now what you love most. For example:
1. "I don't like the fact that recreational marijuana is legal."
Whether or not you agree with our laws, you have to admit the extra tax money is pretty sweet!
2. ...or "I don't like that I can't smoke pot in my car and/or on the streets."
Yeah, you gotta get over yourself with that one...
3. "Colorado traffic is unbearable."
OK, you got me there... but it's just a little give and take in the grand scheme of things!
4. "Summers are too dry...
Suck it up (and invest in some lotion).
5. ...and winters are brutal."
Suck it up.
6. "I don't like to ski."
Really? Me neither! Isn't it great that there is SO much more to do in Colorado?!
7. "There are way too many transplants."
Eh, you got me there... There are a lot of transplants.
8. "I feel strongly one way or another about politics."
News flash: You're going to have that problem literally anywhere you go.
9. "I have bad experiences with altitude sickness."
Tough it out a bit... it gets better! (I know from personal experience.)
10. "I want to get as far away from my family as possible."
It sounds like you have bigger issues to deal with, so I'll leave this one alone.
11. "I don't like beer."
There are hundreds of microbreweries in Colorado. If you haven't found at least one brew that you like, you aren't looking hard enough.
12. "Colorado smells like a feedlot."
I know EXACTLY where you live... and you should probably move.
13. "I'm a Raiders fan."
Get out; get out NOW.
