Arkansas has plenty of fun and festive ways to celebrate the holidays. One of our favorites is finding a holiday festival to explore. Here are a few holiday festivals in Arkansas to put on your bucket list:
- Lights to Harding, Searcy, AR: The Harding University campus hosts this fun festive event filled with magical lights hanging from the trees like strings of fairy lights. The event kicks off in late November with a lighting ceremony and runs through the New Year. Along with Lights to Harding, the University holds special holiday concerts and events to enjoy for the Christmas season.
- Christmas and Candlelight, Washington, AR: The Historic Washington State Park is the home of this winter festival that occurs in early to mid-December. The park has over 30 restored historic buildings from the 19th Century to admire as they are illuminated for the holidays. Along with handmade luminaries and traditional lights, there are handmade ornaments and wreaths decorating each building. You can also enjoy live music as you tour these historic homes.
- Garvan Woodland Gardens Christmas lights, Hot Springs, AR: This is another month-long winter festival in Arkansas that is definitely worth putting on your calendar. Grab your free cup of hot cocoa and some snacks at the Chipmunk Cafe and head out on a magical adventure through light-filled tunnels. There are numerous art installations covered in twinkling lights and holiday light-lined paths to explore. The event begins in mid-November and runs through December 31. Lights come alive at 4 p.m. each night and burn bright until 9 p.m.
